Hog Slat, Inc., the world's largest provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking an exceptional individual to join lead our  team in our newest Concrete Slat Manufacturing plant in Milford, UT. The primary role of the person in this position is to locate causes of equipment malfunction, repairing broken parts and assuring preventative maintenance activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
  • Repair high and low voltage electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Repairing or replacing defective equipment and/or parts
  • Performing preventive measures of safeguarding the machinery against any kind of degradation on a regular basis
  • Inspection, operation and recording of maintenance work and their costs
  • Cleaning and lubricating of parts
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness and proper functioning of the area or tools or the machinery
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two year Industrial Maintenance degree.  Three to five years experience with repairing high and low voltage electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.  Welding and fabrication experience.

LANUGAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift Operator’s License

COMPUTER SKILLS
General PC familiarity; Ability to use Outlook Email, Word and Excel in daily communication

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts,  The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and/or extreme cold.
