5 WWW.HOGSLAT.COM The 57" AirStorm X-Brace fan was designed putting an emphasis on using corrosion resistant materials to reduce maintenance costs and downtime, while also delivering improved CFM performance under standard operating static pressures in modern hog and poultry barns. The 57" X-Brace model fan is a flush-wall mount design* with a gel coated black fiberglass housing, black poly discharge cone and corrosion resistant poly butterfly shutter. MODEL DESCRIPTION SHUTTER OPENING RPM DRIVE SPEED HP ROUGH AirStorm X-Brace 57” Fan Flat Performance Curve The X-Brace fans feature a proprietary stainless steel prop configured for peak air delivery at typical operating static pressures. The fan prop delivers the most efficient CFM ratings between 0.05" and 0.15" W.C. static pressures. Efficient Drive System The 57” X-Brace fan is powered by a high service factor GrowerSELECT 1.5 HP motor. A self-adjusting tensioner automatically keeps the 1/2” link belt at the proper tightness for maximum efficiency. Improved Shaft Bearing Life New solid base bearing housing increases mounting stabillity, reducing vibration significantly. The new bearing also includes a double-lip FloBack seal to improve lubrication and add additional protection against contamination to reduce maintenance. Fan features Stainless Steel motor and bearing mounting plates. Corrosion resistant poly dampers seal tight with magnetic closures and dual springs. An aluminum damper ring maintains maximum stability in any temperature extreme. The innovative new X-Brace support is constructed of aluminum tubing with blue epoxy coating and a triangle edge profile to reduce wind turbulence. The X-Brace design moves the fan brace anchor points to the corners of the fiberglass housing, providing maximum rigidity, and features rubber frame mounts to cushion the fiberglass fan housing from vibrations. The stainless steel motor and shaft bearing mount is secured to the X-brace with stainless steel hardware and provides a stable corrosion resistant platform for the 1.5 HP GrowerSELECT fan motor. Optional Mounting Kit Stainless steel kit adapts fan to a through-wall installation. Mounting kit can be installed either flush with the inside or outside of the building wall.
