Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA October 2019 22 FS500 Nest Assembly STEP 18 • Note: Make sure the egg trough cover door is open before starting Step 18. • Note: Do not over-tighten! Perch should be able to flip up, preventing access at night to discourage roosting in the nest box. • Attach left (FS500-2) and right (FS500-5) perch bar brackets to their corresponding egg tray side brackets using one #3 screw and #6 lock nut per side. • Brackets should be installed so that the top tab that the wooden perch will attach to faces inward toward the egg tray and rests on the top of the egg tray side brackets. STEP 19 • Attach wooden perch bar (FS500-7 | Bar, Roost) using one #5 carriage bolt (Item # 21157) and one #6 lock nut (Item # 60680) per bracket. • Note: Images show perch brackets used for rear roll-out configuration.
