Newton Grove, NC USA September 2018 1 Ventilation System HS583-SWKIT Latchout / Auxiliary Switch Kit Installation and Operating Instructions (Includes Spanish Version - Incluye versión en español) The HS583-SWKIT Auxiliary Switch Kit for HS583 Series curtain / Vent machines provides a Normally Open and Normally Closed switch contact activated by the load block during the last 6” of travel in the “CLOSED” direction. The HS583-SWKIT is mounted on the machine cabinet flange and can be easily adjusted to the desired position along the travel range of the load block. Installation Instructions: Install switch bracket on left side flange of cabinet as shown in Figure 1. Figure 1

Warning - Positioning switch greater than 4” from specified location will result in switch damage. The whisker actuator must remain in contact with the top of the load block assembly and not allowed to drop down in front of the load block when the load block is at the “CLOSED” stop limit see (Figure 3 and 4). Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA September 2018 3 Ventilation System Wiring Instructions: Loosen the two wing nuts holding switch and remove switch cover. Remove wire knockouts from switch cover. Route each wire through the wire knockout opening. Connect wires to either “Normally Open” or “Normally Closed” depending upon application. Figure 5 Route wiring away from moving parts. Protect wiring from sharp edges and use liquid tight connectors when running through wall surfaces. Final adjustment: With the whisker actuator on top of the load block, adjust switch angle by loosening the wing nuts and rotating the switch up then slowly downward until the switch activates. Advertencia - El posicionamiento del interruptor a más de 4 "de la ubicación especificada provocará daños en el interruptor. El actuador de bigotes debe permanecer en contacto con la parte superior del conjunto del bloque de carga y no debe dejarse caer frente al bloque de carga cuando el bloque de carga está en el límite de detención "CERRADO", véase (Figuras 3 y 4). Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA September 2018 7 Ventilation System Instrucciones de Alambrado: Afloje las dos tuercas mariposa que sostienen el interruptor y retire la cubierta del interruptor. Retire los orificios ciegos de la cubierta del interruptor. Pase cada cable a través de la abertura. Conecte los cables a "Normalmente abierto" o "Normalmente cerrado" (“Normally Open” or “Normally Closed” ) dependiendo de la aplicación. Figura 5 Dirija el alambrado lejos de las partes móviles. Proteja el alambrado de los bordes filosos y use conectores herméticos al pasar por las superficies de las paredes. Ajuste Final: Con el actuador de bigotes en la parte superior del bloque de carga, ajuste el ángulo del interruptor aflojando las tuercas de mariposa y girando el interruptor hacia arriba y luego lentamente hacia abajo hasta que el interruptor se active. Mientras sostiene el cuerpo del interruptor en su posición, vuelva a apretar las tuercas de mariposa.
