If lower limit rod lock collar is at the bottom limit of the machine (nearest motor end), then loosen this lock collar and move upward approximately 6” temporarily to provide clearance for the POTKIT installation. 8. Remove lower cotter pin from the limit rod. 9. Install supplied bushing HS583-7B (If not already equipped) around the limit rod and then slide through hole opening in thrust bearing plate. Push bushing into hole until it snaps into the hole and mates to the plate surface. 10. Install POTKIT into machine as shown. Align hole found in the metal plate with the hole in the limit rod where the cotter pin was previously installed. Install new cotter pin (provided) and bend leg of cotter pin to secure. Figure 1 Figure 1 Install provided cotter pin through hole in metal plate and into hole in limit rod. Install cable clamp around limit rod and through metal mounting plate. Secure saddle of clamp as shown.
