Install U-bolt around back of the limit rod through matching holes in the metal plate. Install saddle portion of clamp and secure with two hex head nuts. 12. Remove four screws retaining enclosure cover to gain access to terminal strip connected to internal 10 turn potentiometer. 13. Feed 18 – 22 awg., 3 conductor wire through the liquid tight connector into the enclosure. Strip approximately ¼” from wire ends and insert into the terminal strip. The internal potentiometer is connected per figure below and is wired to provide changing resistance with the direction of the curtain machine as shown. 14. Tighten liquid tight connector around wire. 15. Replace enclosure cover and 4 screws. Hand- tighten. 16. With the load block of the curtain machine all the way at the top of the machine or nearest the cable exit, while facing the POTKIT enclosure from the front, reach behind enclosure and rotate the plastic gear on the back side CLOCKWISE until it stops rotating. Turn back COUNTERCLOCKWISE ¼ – ½ turn. This sets the max limit of rotation for the potentiometer when the curtain machine is fully OPEN or at the cable exit end of the machine. Failure to perform this step could result in damage to the potentiometer.
