Place new bearing onto backing plate. B. Make sure rotating side of bearing faces away from backing plate. C. Align bearing grease access hole so that it will align with grease fitting on thrust bearing plate. D. Place thrust bearing retaining plate over bearing orienting grease fitting aligning with grease access hole in bearing. E. Check that thrust bearing rotates easily to ensure bearing is placed with correct side up. F. Check thrust bearing does not have excessive movement from side to side. If necessary install small piece of rubber approximately 1/8" thick between bearing and retaining plate to hold bearing in place during assembly and to keep
