Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA MARCH 2023 REV A6 3 GROW-FLEX™ Feed Systems 1. OVERVIEW / FEATURES: The HS820 Infrared Feed Controller is used to control feed line auger drive motors by detecting the presence of feed. The HS820 is typically mounted beneath an auger control unit at the end of the feed line. When feed has filled the last feed drop, feeder etc… feed will rise up into the HS820 body where the feed is detected by a series of infrared sensors. The HS820 has multiple built in features to run the feed system automatically with an intuitive display with a combination of colors and text to inform the operator. The infrared sensors can detect all types of feed and is not impacted by moisture unlike proximity sensors. Built in relay allows direct connection to the auger motor. FEATURES: Infrared sensing technology. Multicolor display shows controller status at a glance. Maximum Run time monitoring. Alarm output relay. Feed delay. Feed Now option to bypass feed delay. Timed mode (enable controller during certain hours, disable during over-night hours). Continuous run mode Relay output for auger. Relay output for alarm Normally Open or Normally Closed. 2.
