Newton Grove, NC USA October 2019 3 Ventilation Systems Overview The mechanically actuated HSIN3050SW side wall inlet is designed to maximize the volumetric flow and throw of air pulled from outside of the barn to improve air quality conditions in a negative pressure environment. The HSIN1700SW inlet in nearly identical to the HSIN2 inlet except that its reduced height allows it to fit over cool cell pads. The plastic inlet is resistant to corrosion and the foam filled door increases the insulation value. The inlet was also designed to seal tightly in order to help prevent moisture and air from entering when the inlets are closed. Both inlets come fully assembled. Performance Data The HSIN3050SW and HSIN1700SW inlets have been tested in a highly automated wind tunnel to determine the volume of air (measured in cubic feet per minute) that can be pulled at different combinations of static pressure and opening widths. Do not place temperature sensors directly in the path of the air flow from the inlet. Install the inlet system so that the ceiling inlets will not interfere with feed lines, cables, water lines, or other equipment in the barn.
