Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA MAY 2026 REV A6 18 Ventilation System In the following sections for cooling, heating, mist and alarm settings the controller uses both relative and actual temperatures. In each setting the relative value will be the variable that is adjusted however the actual temperature is displayed alongside the variable to make it easier to determine the actual temperature. ================================================================== 17. COOLING: All stages can provide cooling. Stage 1 and 2 are variable speed output while Stages 3-6 are constant speed relay output. 17A: STAGE 1: Variable output stage. BW1 is the temperature range between when the stage operates at minimum speed up to full speed. MIN. VENT temperature and below is the temperature at which the fan is running at minimum speed. As the temperature goes up, the fan speed increases proportionally until temperature is equalled to “FULL SPEED” temperature at which time the stage 1 fans will be at full speed. 17B: STAGE 2: Variable output stage. OFFSET 2 is the temperature above stage 1 when the stage 2 fan(s) turn on. BW 2 is the temperature range between when the stage operates at minimum speed up to full speed. Example shown above, stage 2 turns on at 72F and runs at minimum speed. Speed will proportionally increase as temperature increases to 73. At this time stage 2 fans will be operating full speed. 17A 17B 17C 17D 17E 17F
