Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA AUG 2025 REV A4 19 Ventilation System 17A: STAGE 1: Variable output stage. BW1 is the temperature range between when the stage operates at minimum speed up to full speed. MIN. VENT temperature and below is the temperature at which the fan is running at minimum speed. As the temperature goes up, the fan speed increases proportionally until temperature is equalled to “FULL SPEED” temperature at which time the stage 1 fans will be at full speed. 17B: STAGE 2: Variable output stage. OFFSET 2 is the temperature above stage 1 when the stage 2 fan(s) turn on. BW 2 is the temperature range between when the stage operates at minimum speed up to full speed. Example shown above, stage 2 turns on at 72F and runs at minimum speed. Speed will proportionally increase as temperature increases to 73. At this time stage 2 fans will be operating full speed. 17C. STAGE 3: ON/OFF output. DIFF (3) equals the temperature above stage 2 when stage 3 is to come on. Stage 3 turns off when temperature falls below the OFF temperature setting. 17D. STAGE 4: ON/OFF output. DIFF (4) equals the temperature above stage 3 when stage 4 is to come on. Stage 4 turns off when temperature falls below the OFF temperature setting. 17E. STAGE 5: ON/OFF output. DIFF (5) equals the temperature above stage 4 when stage 5 is to come on. Stage 5 turns off when temperature falls below the OFF temperature setting. 17F. STAGE 6: ON/OFF output. DIFF (6) equals the temperature above stage 5 when stage 6 is to come on. Stage 6 turns off when temperature falls below the OFF temperature setting. ================================================================== 18. HEAT: Heater(s) are assigned to either Stage 5 or 6 or both. If one heater is used, then it is assigned to Stage 6. If two heaters are being used then Heater 1 is assigned to Stage 5 and Heater 2 is assigned to Stage 6. Two types of heating can be selected. Either Cascading or Zones. 18A 18B 18C 18D
