For ZONES press the “ZONES” icon which will turn green. Zone heating is when heaters are placed in different areas or rooms. Each heater operates independently and is controlled based on the Differential and Offset temperatures to control when they turn on and off as compared to the set point temperature. Probes 1 and 2 are assigned to Heater 1 and probes 3 and 4 are assigned to Heater 2. Probes can be turned off or not connected individually however if two heaters are used in zones mode, then a minimum of 2 probes are required, one for each zone. When two probes are used (one in each zone) probe 1 = Heater 1 and probe 3 = Heater 2. If two probes are used for each heating zone, the average temperature between the two probes is used. Probe 1 and Probe 2 = Heater 1. Probe 3 and Probe 4 = Heater 2. NOTE: In order to select ZONES heating, two heaters must be selected first and at least two probes connected, one for each zone. 1. MAX ZONE TEMP DIFFERENCE: This is the maximum temperature differential between zones. If value is exceeded the cooling mode will operate the fans according to the zone with the highest temperature. This is to help with ventilation issues that can occur when animals are confined to one zone. While the temperature difference between zones is less than the max zone temp difference, the cooling is controlled by the average of both zones. 1 3 2
