Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA AUG 2025 REV A4 22 Ventilation System 1. HEATER 1 SETTING: The OFFSET (1) value is the number of degrees below set point the Heater 1 should turn off. The DIFF (1) + OFFSET (1) values are the number of degrees below the set-point when the Heater 1 is to turn ON. Example above, Set Point = 70F 2. HEATER 2 SETTING: The DIFF (2) + OFFSET (1) + DIFF (1) is the value of degrees below set point where Heater 2 turns ON. Heater 2 turns OFF at the temperature setting DIFF (1) +OFFSET (1) which is the same as when Heater 1 is to turn ON. Example above, Set Point = 70F 18D. HEATER RUN TIME: Each heater has a resettable accumulated run timer. To reset the timer value, press the block displaying the timer value which will launch a new screen to allow user to reset each timer separately or both simultaneously. The accumulated timer is in hours: minutes and can log up to 9999:59. ================================================================== 19. MIST COOLING: Used to provide additional cooling for animals. Relay output to control misting unit(s). Mist cooling is assigned to the last cooling stage available automatically. If (2) heaters are used on Stages 5 and 6, mist cooling will be assigned to Stage 4. If heaters are used on Stage 6 only, then stage 5 will be assigned to mist cooling. If no heaters are used, then STAGE 6 will be assigned to Mist cooling. To use Mist cooling, press “ACTIVATE” icon. This will show which output has been assigned as well as launch the mist cooling cycle. During field wiring, it must be known how many heater stages will be used so that mist cooling stage assignment will be known prior to powering up controller. If you know there are 2 heaters being used, then wire stage 4 for mist cooling system. If 1 heater is being used, then wire stage 5 for mist cooling. 19A 19B 19C 19D 19E 19F
