Hog Slat Inc. Newton Grove, NC USA May 2024 REV IR 33 Ventilation System SECTION 19: Troubleshooting Guide Problem Possible Cause Possible Solution Touchscreen does not come on No power to controller Check circuit breaker Blown Fuse Check power supply (item #17) 1A fuse Incorrect wiring Confirm power supply wires are connected to correct terminals. Refer to wiring diagram If board has power, red LED on top left corner of back board will illuminate. Screen ribbon cable not plugged in properly Check ribbon cable is fully seated on both ends Screen not plugged into mating circuit board properly Check that touchscreen and mating board are connected at the plug and plugs are aligned with each other. Voltage selector switch set to wrong voltage Find selector switch and switch to correct input voltage being used. Probe Error - Controller in Alarm State Probe #1 – open connection, bad probe or probe wiring Correct wiring issue with Probe 1 or replace probe. Verify probe 1 is in the correct terminals on the controller bottom board. In the case Heat stages are set to zones. Both probes in one or both zones have an error Check probe page. Defective probe will be highlighted. Correct wiring or replace. Verify probes are in correct terminals. Probe Error other than Probe #1 - Not in alarm state Open or bad probe or probe wiring Check probe page. Defective probe will be highlighted. Correct wiring or replace. Controller will function and calculate the average of the remaining probe(s) Stage 1 or Stage 2 fans do not run Wiring incorrect Verify terminal “L1 IN” is supplied by Line voltage (120V supply) or L1 (240V supply). S1 output goes to Fan #1 Line in. S2 output goes to Fan #2 Line in. Both fans remaining line is connected to Neutral (120V) or L2 (240V) Stage 1 or Stage 2 fuse is blown Check 15A fuse (reference item #18 on Replacement Parts page) Minimum speed set too low Increase minimum speed Incorrect motor table number chosen Verify motor being used and select correct motor curve. Incorrect motor curve with minimum speed too low will cause motor not to run. To verify motor runs increase minimum speed above 80% to confirm wiring is correct and fans will run. Defective fan motor Verify motor by using another power source. Stage 1 or Stage 2 fans run continuously at full speed Wired incorrectly Confirm correct wiring per wiring diagram
