This is where the load gets transmitted to the basic structure. (Note: This minimum required surface will apply regardless if floor is laid on a cement ledge or on top of concrete floor.) Figure 4: Walkway Figure 5: Wall Ledge If flooring is laid on ledge as shown in Figure 6, height of the total construction of the beam, end cap, and flooring should always be slightly lower than level of the concrete walkways or surfaces.
