Hog Slat, Inc. accepts product orders online, in store and over the phone. Please read our ordering instructions and policies below for more information.

Online Orders

Placing an Order Online
When ordering online, your information will be sent in a secure, encrypted 
file (never in plain text) directly to Hog Slat Inc.’s office site. From there, the order will be processed for credit card authorization or placed on an existing account for return customers.

Upon pressing the "Complete Order" button at checkout, a pre-authorization will be placed on your credit card for the total amount of the items in your cart. An email confirmation with an order number will be sent to you at this time. Your credit card will be charged for the final amount of your order, and your order considered accepted, once it has been processed by Hog Slat, Inc. at our

When Will I Receive My Order?
Hog Slat strives to process and ship all our online orders as quickly as possible. Most common in-stock product orders that can ship via UPS require 2-3 business days for processing and packaging between the date of placing your order and the date it will ship from our facilities (this applies to existing customers with current information on file). You will receive a shipment confirmation email when your tracking number has been entered into our online system and all/part of your order has been shipped out. Total shipping time depends on the distance between where the shipment originates and your location. Most orders are shipped from either North Carolina or Iowa.

  • Orders placed after 3pm EST and during the weekends will begin processing the following business day (or next open business day in the event of a holiday).
  • New customer orders and existing customers with expired tax exemption/payment information on file may require additional processing time for new account setup and existing account updates to be completed.
  • Product sizes, weights and inventory levels, as well as high order volumes and adverse weather conditions may cause additional delays in the picking and shipment of your order.
  • Orders that must ship via LTL/freight carrier (oversized, overweight, large quantity, etc), directly from a vendor/manufacturer or for equipment that is out-of-stock or must be manufactured will require additional processing/fulfillment time.
Any current/expected extended delays will be noted in your order confirmation email and/or by direct contact through the email address you provide with your order.

Backorders: Unless otherwise noted when we receive your order, orders containing product that is on backorder (out-of-stock) will not ship until everything is available to ship together. We can ship backordered items separately for an additional shipping charge at your request.

Shipping Methods, Requirements & Limitations
Regular parcel shipments are sent using UPS Ground services or select regional carriers (where applicable). All oversized, over-weight or high-quantity orders will be shipped on a pallet(s) via various national or regional freight carriers depending on the delivery area. You will receive a shipment confirmation email when your tracking number has been entered into our online system and all/part of your order has been shipped out. 

All orders that must ship on a pallet will be quoted for freight cost after they are received and the customer will be contacted by email and must approve the charges before the order will be processed.

Freight shipments require someone present to sign for the delivery and delivery appointments will be scheduled with the customer by the freight company once the shipment has reached the terminal closest to the delivery address. Hog Slat is not responsible for any of the following circumstances or situations:

  • Missed or delayed shipments due to customer (or their representative) failing to be present during scheduled delivery window
  • Delivery site conditions that the freight company driver determines at their own discretion are unsafe to deliver in, may cause damage to their vehicle or customer property; or may cause significant delay in the amount of time allotted for the delivery to avoid causing delays in the remaining scheduled deliveries on the driver's itinerary (including but not limited to: narrow driveways, muddy/non-maintained/non-state roads/paths, unclear visual confirmation of adequate space to enter/turn-around/exit delivery address, or any other reason covered by the freight company's terms of service)
  • Damaged or missing product that is not noted with the driver on the signature required proof-of-delivery bill (Hog Slat will review customer damage claims not noted at delivery on a case-by-case basis to determine a course of action)
  • Additional charges for unloading assistance, delay of access, unclaimed storage fees or any other conditions that are not noted with us when an order is placed

Why am I being charged sales tax at checkout if I am a tax exempt customer?

Shipments to Freight Forwarding Service Locations

Any online orders that are placed with a freight forwarding service location delivery address must be paid for by Wire Transfer. We will not accept any other payment methods for this type of transaction. All orders paid for by wire transfer will be charged a $25.00 service fee.

Online pricing in our web store is in US Dollars (USD) and only applicable for items shipped from the USA. This pricing is not valid for items shipped from or purchased at our locations outside the USA.
