Battery Life and Charging FAQ's

How long will the battery life last?
Depends on the how much it is being used and what it is being used for. Typically it will last at least a few months between charges.

How do you know if it is charging?
The charging cord has a light built in. The red/orange light means that the unit is charging. The green light means that the unit is charged.

Does the battery meter trickle down?
No, you will know when to charge it when the red light is the only light showing. A fully charged unit shows 1 red light with 3 green lights. When the green light turns off there is about 20% battery left.

What about battery care and charging?
Lithium-ion works best when you deplete the battery and then charge it until the battery is fully charged. Leaving the unit on the charger will weaken the battery life.

What about cold temperatures?
Lithium batteries can be used and discharged in cold weather without damaging them. However, you don’t want to charge your battery in temperatures below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend that you only charge your battery between 40 and 100 degrees. It is important to get your battery out of the freezing zone before charging it. When using in cold temperatures, be sure to warm up the battery by holding down the trigger button for about 30 seconds.
