Got two of these last week and so far they are working great. I believe these will hold up for years to come. Very happy with the product. Assembly was very easy and it holds plenty of feed. I have already recommended this product to others.

Built tough
Don't waste your money on anything at other stores. This is the real deal and should last for years.

Only buy Hog Slat
No feeder in this style is perfect, but this one is built stout. Instead of cheap rivets, this feeder is held together by nuts and bolts. Set the inside flow gate to it's lowest setting so your hogs don't waste feed or stop it up too fast. You will have to clean beneath the flow gate every few days. Mud from the hogs noses and crumbs they've made will stop it up. The only thing that would make this a 5 star versus a 4 would be if neoprene washers were included in the assembly. This would prevent moisture from entering around bolts. Down here in the south that is a problem. A little shot of silicone around them helps.

Buy this!
This thing is stout. Just free fed 3 Herefords to 300lbs and they didn't put a dent in it.

Solid Hog Feeder
I purchased this feeder for my two hogs. After putting it in their pen (and making sure it was secure and not going to get knocked over), the hogs starting eating out of it right away. It is solid steel and I have no doubt it will hold up for years to come. The instructions were easy enough to follow and it took about an hour to put together. It has rained several times and the food has stayed dry. I would definitely recommend this feeder. .

Question
Since it's a free feeder how do you control the amount of feed they get?

There is an adjustable gate in the feeder's trough that allows you to control the amount of feed that can flow into the trough from the feeder's hopper.
Rock Solid
We bought this for the four Berkshires we're raising on pasture this year. It is built really well and shows no sign of wear. The pigs are rough on it (as they are on everything) but it's holding up great! I just have 2 posts on either side of it and a ratchet strap around the body to keep it in place. Love it.
